In Seoul, skincare is both a science and a daily ritual. Nowhere in the world are formulas tested more rigorously, by a more demanding audience. But something gets lost on the way to Europe: those same formulas end up in webshops built on discounts instead of knowledge. Lumière Seoul was founded to set that right. We measure every product against one public standard, admit only what has proven itself, and present it the way it was meant to be in Seoul: with precision, with context, and in its best light.
Our mission
We bring the best of Korean skincare to light for Europe. Every product we sell is measured against one public standard, explained in plain language, and presented with the care its formulas deserve, so that great skincare becomes something you can trust, understand, and enjoy.
Our vision
We're building the trusted home for Korean skincare in Europe. First as the curator you rely on, the one who has already done the testing, and in time as a maker of our own line, held to the very same standard we hold every other brand to.
The standard
"Curated" is the most overused word in beauty. So we made ours something you can check.
Every product we consider is measured against five criteria, and most don't make it in:
- Proven to work. A real track record, with clinical or dermatological backing behind its active ingredients.
- The current formula. Only the latest version, never the older one still sold elsewhere as a "deal."
- Fully transparent. The complete ingredient list, published and explained.
- Compliant and traceable. Properly notified, correctly labelled, sourced through verified channels.
- A place in your routine. It has to earn its spot, doing something no product already in our collection does better.
- What we turn away says more than what we stock. That's the standard behind every product on this site.
What we stand for
Proof over breadth. A small, tested collection beats a warehouse of everything.
One honest price, every day. No countdowns, no crossed-out prices, no discount games. What moves instead is the value: gifts, samples, early access.
Explaining over persuading. We'll tell you what an ingredient does, and we'll tell you when you don't need a product at all.
Everything in the open. Our criteria, our formulas, our sourcing. If we can't show it in daylight, we don't do it.
A note from the founders
We started Lumière Seoul because Korea's best skincare deserved better than the discount bin.
Everything here is measured against one standard, explained without jargon, and presented with care. If a product doesn't earn its place, it doesn't make it in. Even when that costs us a sale.
That's our promise: everything we sell can stand in daylight.
