The Lumière Standard

"Curated" is the easiest claim in beauty. Anyone can write it. So instead of claiming it, we made it checkable: every Korean skincare product in this collection has passed the same five-part test — and the criteria are public.

The five criteria

1. Proven to work. We admit a formula only when the evidence holds: clinical or dermatological support for its key actives, and a substantial, consistent review history in Korea and internationally. A viral month is not a track record.

2. The current formula only. Korean brands reformulate often. We stock the newest version of every product — never an older formula circulating elsewhere as a bargain. The version we ship is the version stated on the page.

3. Full transparency. The complete ingredient list of every product is published and explained, ingredient by ingredient. Brands that keep their data private do not enter the collection.

4. EU-compliant and traceable. Every product is CPNP-notified, correctly labelled for the European market, and sourced through verifiable channels with batch traceability. Ask us where your product came from — we can answer.

5. An earned place in the routine. A product must do a job — cleanse, tone, treat, moisturise or protect — better than anything already admitted. We do not stock ten versions of the same serum. If we cannot say why a product earned its place, it does not get one.

One criterion failed is a rejection. There are no exceptions — including for any product we may one day make ourselves.
